Astor Hostels is a family-run hostel group that has been welcoming travellers to London and York since 1974. With a strong sense of community and a passion for cultural exchange, Astor has built a reputation as a warm, accepting and vibrant space where guests from around the world connect, explore, and feel at home.

I joined Astor in 2024 as part of a visual and communicative project to bring clarity and purpose to the brand’s visual identity. Since then, I have collaborated in a wide range of content creation, from digital and printed signage to photo shoots, event materials and motion graphics. I have helped design and deliver social media campaigns that reflect Astor’s unique character, celebrating its 50-year history and ongoing role as a community-focused hub for travellers.

Concept

Content creation for Astor followed a genuine and unfiltered approach, framing the everyday warmth and spontaneity of the events and social moments. The aim is to capture genuine moments of connection between travellers, the character of each space, and the sense of community that defines Astor

Print and digital design materials followed Astor’s existing visual identity, enhancing its vibrant colour palette to reflect the cultural diversity and open, friendly atmosphere of the hostels. Layouts were kept clean and clear, using consistent typography to support accessibility and a sense of warmth across all signage and communication assets.

I remain actively involved in this project. The visuals and designs displayed here are my own creations, and my work with Astor Hostels has been incredibly rich and collaborative thanks to the team and external partners.
